چکیده

Although influence maximization problem has been extensively studied over the past ten years, majority of existing work adopt one of the following models: full-feedback model or zero-feedback model. In the zerofeedback model, we have to commit the seed users all at once in advance, this strategy is also known as non-adaptive policy. In the full-feedback model, we select one seed at a time and wait until the diffusion completes, before selecting the next seed. Full-feedback model has better performance but potentially huge delay, zero-feedback model has zero delay but poorer performance since it does not utilize the observation that may be made during the seeding process. To fill the gap between these two models, we propose Partialfeedback Model, which allows us to select a seed at any intermediate stage. We develop a novel α-greedy policy that, for the first time, achieves a bounded approximation ratio.

Adaptive Submodular Influence Maximization with Myopic Feedback

In this paper, we study the problem of adaptive influence maximization in social networks. It has been proved that if the problem satisfies the adaptive submodularity property, then an adaptive greedy policy is guaranteed to provide an (1 − 1/e)-approximation of the optimal policy. Nevertheless, so far such a property has only been verified in the case of the full-adoption feedback model. As ad...

ADAPTIVE FUZZY OUTPUT FEEDBACK TRACKING CONTROL FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR TIME-VARYING DELAY SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN BACKLASH-LIKE HYSTERESIS

This paper considers the problem of adaptive output feedback tracking control for a class of nonstrict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown time-varying delays and unknown backlash-like hysteresis. Fuzzy logic systems are used to estimate the unknown nonlinear functions. Based on the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method, the control scheme is constructed by using the backstepping and adaptive techniqu...

Adaptive Influence Maximization in Social Networks: Why Commit when You can Adapt?

Most previous work on influence maximization in social networks is limited to the non-adaptive setting in which the marketer is supposed to select all of the seed users, to give free samples or discounts to, up front. A disadvantage of this setting is that the marketer is forced to select all the seeds based solely on a diffusion model. If some of the selected seeds do not perform well, there i...

Adaptive Consensus Control for a Class of Non-affine MIMO Strict-Feedback Multi-Agent Systems with Time Delay

In this paper, the design of a distributed adaptive controller for a class of unknown non-affine MIMO strict-feedback multi agent systems with time delay has been performed under a directed graph. The controller design is based on dynamic surface control  method. In the design process, radial basis function neural networks (RBFNNs) were employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. S...

Non-Monotone Adaptive Submodular Maximization

A wide range of AI problems, such as sensor placement, active learning, and network influence maximization, require sequentially selecting elements from a large set with the goal of optimizing the utility of the selected subset. Moreover, each element that is picked may provide stochastic feedback, which can be used to make smarter decisions about future selections. Finding efficient policies f...
